Analyzing the reasons why the distance between the working faces of the roller in the open mill cannot be reduced

Open mill is the abbreviation for open rubber mixing machine. In plastic and rubber product factories, people are accustomed to calling it a two roll machine. The open mill is a type of mixing equipment that has been used in plastic product production plants for a long time. In the rubber production industry, the open mill is an important equipment. What should we do if the distance between the working faces of the rollers cannot be reduced?

1. The diameter of the working surface of the roller is too small during grinding, causing interference with the meshing of the speed ratio gear. The tooth top height should be corrected;
2. The bearing liner is severely worn and the inner hole diameter is too large. The bearing liner should be replaced.

Inaccurate gap size for adjusting the distance of the roller in the open mill:

1. The safety gasket in the distance adjustment device is severely worn or damaged. Check, repair or replace the safety gasket;
2. The adjusting screw or nut is severely worn and should be repaired and replaced with severely worn parts.
